    Position Summary
    Palladium is seeking a Project Director (Director) for a USAID-funded Frontier Health Markets (FHM).

    The resulting project will focus on increasing private health sector contributions to advancing voluntary family planning and other health outcomes, including maternal, newborn and child health, malaria, TB, and HIV/AIDS.

    FHM's activities will work to strengthen local health markets leading to systematic and effective engagement with the private sector.

    The Director will provide overall leadership and management of the project including meeting the project's technical objectives, managing financial resources, program staff, partnering agreements, maintaining good working relationships with host government officials and local partners, managing client reporting, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

    The Director will represent Palladium and the project to USAID and all other stakeholders including donors, governments, community and non-governmental organizations, and the private sector.

    Availability of position is contingent upon funding availability and USAID approval


    Primary Responsibilities:
    Providing overall strategic, technical, programmatic, financial, and management guidance and support for large-scale project activities.

    Managing a diverse staff of technical and administrative professionals across the globe to ensure responsive and efficient project operations.

    Ensuring that project objectives, outcomes, and deliverables are met and that financial, operational, and reporting requirements of the donor are followed.

    Serving as the primary liaison with the client and all other stakeholders.

    Working with and building the capacity of government authorities at all levels of government, with local community-based organizations, and with the private sector.

    Analyzing and evaluating project operations to identify and resolve issues or problems.

    Managing subaward compliance, with the support of the project team, and oversee capacity development of partners to transition to direct USG funding.

    Oversee and ensure efficient execution of subawards to government and local partners across geographies.


    Required Qualifications:
    Master's degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Management or another related field.

    Extensive project management experience, including experience leading complex multi-million dollar donor funded health programs (USAID experience preferred); including the administrative, procurement, hiring, and recruitment, financial and logistical aspects of project implementation.

    Extensive experience in the private sector health systems, including market-based approaches, market analytics, private sector engagement, innovative financing, public-private partnerships, and capacity development for local organizations.

    Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams of professionals located throughout the globe.

    Demonstrated experience coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders including government agencies, host country governments and counterparts, and international donor agencies.

    Familiarity with USG rules and regulations and subaward compliance.
    Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. French language skills preferred, but not required.
    Demonstrated problem solving, analytic, financial, and evaluative skills.

    Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities effectively and efficiently often within a required timeframe.

    Must be able to work under tight deadlines and across time-zones.
