    Centrillion is seeking an
    IT Support Specialist to join the
    Information Technology group.
    Centrillion is creating transformative genomic technologies leveraging engineering and biochemistry breakthroughs to accelerate discovery and reveal the real genome that has thus far been obscured by its complexity and the limitations of existing technologies. We are building a new generation of genomics solutions that will reveal the complete genome and make more accurate and useful genomic information available to researchers, physicians, and consumers.
    Centrillion is backed by venture capital and strategic investors and its headquarter is located at Palo Alto, CA, the innovation center of Silicon Valley and close to Stanford University.


    Responsibilities:

    • Set-up, configure, upgrade, and maintain laptops, and desktops
    • Experience with Active Directory - creating new accounts, resetting passwords and other basic maintenance tasks
    • Basic understanding of networking (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS and basic network troubleshooting)
    • Assist in administering firewalls, routers, and smart switches
    • Application support, including general account creation, password resets, installation, and general troubleshooting
    • Manage telecommunication service and support mobile and desktop telecommunication devices
    • Proactively monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot issues
    • Manage VPN Services
    • Train users in use of equipment and solve user problems
    • Enforce computer and network use policy

    Requirements:

    • 2+ years of experience providing IT support to a cross functional organization
    • Advanced knowledge of Windows, Linux, networking, and computer network security
    • Reliable, punctual, and able to work outside of "normal working hours" as needed
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Bachelors degree preferred.
    *Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Bachelors degree an advantage; additional qualification as personal assistant would be considered an advantage.
