    Role: CAD Designer

    Position Description:

    • Database creation and administration (including exporting, importing, clean-up, and merging databases)
    • Creating macros in Programmable Macro Language (PML) to automate simple tasks like adding or updating UDAs, extraction of Navisworks/Review files, etc.
    • Preparation of 3D modeling guidelines and specifications
    • Create new catalogues for the projects as per vendor data for piping, equipment, structural, and electrical & instrumentation.
    • Generate custom reports from the 3D model as per project requirements.
    • Configure (including troubleshooting) and extract key deliverables like Material Take Off (MTO), piping isometrics, equipment lists, line lists, weight reports, etc.
    • Setup support configuration and customization to enable supports modeling and drawing extraction.
    • Coordinate with all disciplines to ensure that the output of 2D drawings from 3D model is maximized.
    • Manage E3D/PDMS Global and E3D/PDMS Extract Databases. Coordinate with Systems lead in setting up global projects.

    Requirements:

    • Experience working as a Piping Designer, and very strong knowledge of plant layout, piping design, and piping materials. Knowledge of instrumentation, mechanical/ HVAC, Electrical, Civil/ Structural plant components is highly desired.
    • Must be able to integrate/ work with laser scan point cloud datasets within the 3D model.
    • Understanding of Design Engineering and associated work practices
    • Very good knowledge of configuring and supporting all modules within E3D / PDMS / SP3D
    • Minimum of 10 years' work experience as a E3D / PDMS / SP3D administrator, preferably in a global environment
    • Practical knowledge of PML/PML II programming language
    • Understanding of AVEVA Diagrams or other AVEVA tools administration preferred.

    Position Details:

    Pay Rate: $100/hr

    Hours: Monday - Friday (Onsite, possibility for Hybrid schedule)

    Location: Houston, TX
