Overview:
Responsibilities:
As part of the Texas transportation team you will have the opportunity to contribute to roadway and structural plans and some of the largest transportation projects in Texas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be proficient in MicroStation V8i and CONNECT, Projectwise, Open Roads Modeler knowledge is a plus
- 12+ years of experience in Bridge/Drainage/Roadway engineering plan production for TxDOT projects.
- Modify drawings as directed by engineer or design coordinator
- Drafts and prepares engineering plans and exhibits from field data, sketches, drawings, raw data, diagrams and/or verbal/written instructions
- Must be detail oriented. Performs project redlines to complete quality plan deliverables with mínimal supervision
- Familiarity with CAD standards
- Ensure quality control in compliance with CADD standards.
- Project file organization experience
- Ability to produce and deliver quality engineering plans on budget and on schedule
- Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to work well in a team environment
- Strong work ethic with desire to work in a production environment
Qualifications:
- An Associate or Applied Science Degree (AAS) in Engineering, Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent
- Over five years of experience on multidisciplinary DOT projects including Bridge, Drainage, TCP and Roadway
