    Description

    SUMMARY:


    This position provides direct support to the Chief Financial Officer and Controller for general accounting functions, including but not limited to: overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Bank reconciliation, and overall General Ledger management.

    This position is responsible for the handling and reporting of all grant information to the appropriate governmental agencies on a monthly or quarterly basis.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Manage grant reporting ensuring all submissions comply with the grantor's request and ensuring deadlines are met, gathering required information from accounts payable and payroll specialistManage capital funding reimbursement requests on a monthly basisCollaborate with development team to advise on donor payments received and monitor pledge receivables to ensure timely collectionOversee the banking needs of the organization and ensure bank accounts are reconciled monthlyResponsible for reconciliation of several balance sheet accountsWork with Controller to implement policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and streamline the accounting process, specifically Accounts PayableAssist with year-end audit requestsOther ad-hoc projects assigned by Controller


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting5+ years of progressive accounting experienceGrant experience, highly desired

    Excellent leadership, management and organizational skillsMust be highly detail orientedAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage and direct employeesMIP/Abila software experience a plusRaisers Edge software experience a plus
