Job Description
Objective :
The Mortgage Loan Processing Manager is responsible for leading and managing the loan processing team.
This role involves overseeing the entire loan processing operation, ensuring that mortgage applications are processed, underwritten, and closed efficiently and accurately while complying with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities :
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the mortgage loan processing department.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient loan processing, underwriting, and closing.
Monitor the workflow of the department and allocate resources to maintain optimal productivity and meet closing deadlines.
Train, mentor, and supervise loan processors, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
Collaborate with underwriters, loan officers, and other stakeholders to streamline the loan approval process.
Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
Address and resolve complex loan processing issues and customer complaints.
Analyze department performance, prepare reports for senior management, and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting mortgage processing.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in mortgage loan processing, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role.
Strong understanding of mortgage lending processes, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor staff.
Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in mortgage loan processing software and MS Office Suite.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills :
Advanced knowledge of industry-specific software and CRM systems.
Experience in process improvement and workflow management.
Familiarity with risk management and quality control procedures.
