    Description

    Pay Rate:
    $17.50 plus tips, our security staff typically make an additional $6-10/hour in tips depending on the shift.
    La Puerta is the go-to, neighborhood cantina. We have been serving up hospitality, Mexican food, and rock-n-roll.

    Being one of San Diego's largest mezcal bars in the Gaslamp for 14 years, and we recently opened a second location in Mission Hills.

    We are a fast-paced workplace, with lots of variety and moving parts.

    We are looking for an organized leader that has fun by making things happen and executing great service, day after day, and making friends along the way.

    As our security staff, you'll set the tone for a safe and welcoming experience at La Puerta. You are part of the first impression of the restaurant and set the tone for guests' experiences.

    You will be responsible for checking IDs, for assisting in managing the door during your shift, and for performing the necessary duties to keep our staff and guests safe at all times.

    We expect you to be prepared to assist in bussing tables and keeping the restaurant looking organized and clean. Your attention to detail and strong communication skills are critically important.

    You are also the last note of the experience and will wish guests farewell and invite them to come back.
