    Description

    Russell Tobin has partnered with a leading Civil Engineering firm to add to their growing team As a Senior Civil Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support in the creation and modification of deliverables, with a focus on site drainage, grading, and utility plans.

    Under general supervision, you will utilize your expertise in electronic applications, standards, and document control processes to ensure project success. Additionally, you will provide guidance to other engineering technicians to drive excellence in project execution.

    This role is situated within the Energy & Process Industries group, where you will contribute to a variety of projects spanning energy resources, delivery, mining, and process solutions. These projects encompass renewable energy (solar/wind), transmission infrastructure, power generation, and nuclear initiatives. Your proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation will be essential, particularly in developing complex proposed grading surfaces and understanding pipe/pressure networks and profiles. Prior experience or knowledge in surveying is advantageous.

    This is a hybrid role and can be based out of any of the following offices:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop site drainage, grading, and utility plans using Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation.
    • Provide technical guidance to other engineering technicians.
    • Interpret engineering deliverable content with advanced proficiency.
    • Adhere to engineering standards, document control procedures, and company policies.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and technology advancements.
    • Contribute to the company's quality program and ensure compliance.
    • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Bentley MicroStation (2D/3D).
    • Experience with Bluebeam and other relevant electronic applications.
    • Strong understanding of engineering standards, document control processes, and departmental guides.
    • Intermediate knowledge of industry trends and technology.
    • Basic understanding of construction practices and principles.
    • Familiarity with surveying techniques and methodologies.
    • Diploma or Certificate preferred; Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Related Technology is advantageous.
