    Required Skills & Experience

    • Must-Haves:
      • 1-2+ years of experience in a NOC, Technical Support, Help Desk, or Network Support environment
      • Previous experience assisting customers over the phone or in person
      • Basic understanding of Optical, TDM, Ethernet, MPLS, and IP routing
      • Experience with ticket creation and completion (preferably Remedy)
      • Understanding of OSI Model (Layers 1, 2, and 3) and basic Routing/Switching functions
      • Availability to work weekdays or weekends, day or night shifts, and in-office

    Nice to Have Skills & Experience

    • Plusses:
      • CCNA, CCENT, JNCIA, JNCIP Certification
      • Preferred experience with Juniper, Alcatel, Cisco, Adva, and JSDU equipment
      • Troubleshooting experience with Cisco or Juniper hardware
      • Monitoring abilities in Commercial Networks
      • Experience with devices in NOC Monitoring Tools
      • Customer-oriented with knowledge of MSA/SLA requirements
      • Understanding of commercial/carrier services
      • Experience in Cell Tower Back-Haul or Commercial operations
      • Basic understanding of fault isolation and troubleshooting
      • Previous role in monitoring or provisioning within Engineering or Technical Operations
      • Knowledge of Maintenance, Service, and Installation

    Job Description

    Day to Day:

    An employer in Austin, Texas is currently hiring an Enterprise Technical Support technician for a Cable Company. They need someone to support their large commercial clients. As an Enterprise Technical Support I, you play a key role in improving the client experience. Your main tasks involve assisting business clients using voice, video, data, and managed services. Your goal is to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently, communicate clearly, and work collaboratively with different teams to resolve issues. This job requires you to be comfortable working in an office environment and reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Technical Support.

    Daily Responsibilities:

    • Provide reassuring assistance to clients experiencing networking or technical issues
    • Troubleshoot network problems related to WAN, LAN, fiber, and Voice technologies via phone, email, and client portals
    • Ensure timely resolutions by accurately documenting complex technical issues
    • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and keep clients informed
    • Identify root causes of technical problems to improve department processes
    • Make recommendations to enhance the client experience and support process improvement
    • Perform additional assigned duties related to service monitoring, assurance, and reliability for carrier/commercial customers
