    Job Overview:

    Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Director of Human Resources to join our team.

    Responsibilities:

    Shriners Childrens Greenville is seeking a transformational Director of Human Resources position to improve and enhance HR processes throughout all aspects of HR discipline. These will include, but not limited to, employee recruitment and retention and work with the Leadership team to improve, sustain and continue effective employee relations strategies. The Director of Human Resources can expect to support leadership at both the local and corporate levels to strategize, develop and enact policies and procedures to enhance the employee experience.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide strategic planning and process improvement ideas
    • Serve as a business strategist for local market recruiting
    • Manage a team that includes an HR Specialist and HR Generalist
    • Participate in benefits, coaching, counselling, mediations and consultation for all employees
    • Consult and advise hospital leadership on strategies and results
    • Some travel may be required

    Qualifications:

    Education

    • Bachelors degree in human resources or business; masters degree preferred

    Experience

    • 7 years of HR experience with at least 5 years in healthcare required
    • Strong knowledge of HR disciplines, including compensation, staffing, workers compensation, labor law, employee engagement and compliance with state and federal regulations, laws and policies required

    Certification

    • CHHR, SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP certification highly preferred

    Other

    • Current full vaccination status required
