Director of Accounting - Arlington, United States - Spectrum Financial Services
Description
As the Director of Accounting at, you'll collaborate closely with departmental team members to ensure the organization's financial operations run smoothly and accurately, adhering to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate mastery of accounting regulations, policies, and procedures in accordance with GAAP.
Supervise accounts payable/accounts receivable management and transaction reporting.
Oversee general ledger functions and reconcile accounts.
Analyze financial data including trends, costs, and budgetary information related to accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Develop cash flow forecasts to support financial planning efforts.
Assist in monthly financial closings.
Establish and document policies and procedures to address accounting issues.
Implement streamlined procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Prepare state and federal filing schedules and forms for regular submissions.
Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
Undertake ad hoc analyses and projects as requested.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
MBA/CPA preferred.
5-8 years of experience in accounts payable/accounts receivable and general ledger management.
3-5 years of supervisory experience.
Thorough knowledge of US GAAP standards.
Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Fluency in English and proficiency in MS Office suite.
Strong customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
