    Accounting Manager Job Description:

    We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced startup environment. As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting functions. This role reports directly to the Controller and involves collaboration with various departments to support business growth and strategic decision-making.

    Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

    • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger entries, and financial reporting.
    • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • The Accounting Manager will prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights into financial performance and trends.
    • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities as needed.
    • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives, such as fundraising, M&A activities, and business expansion.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices.

    Accounting Manager Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
    • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with 2 years in a managerial/supervisory capacity.
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
    • Proven leadership abilities, including team management, mentorship, and project coordination.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, adapt to change, and drive continuous improvement.
