ACCOUNT MANAGER - SoCal


Account Manager responsibilities include maintaining business at current accounts and driving new business development for current and target accounts as well as developing long-term relationships, connecting with key business stakeholders.

Successful Account Managers continuously work to identify opportunities for moving the client and company business forward with an emphasis on long term growth and customer satisfaction.

This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager


Key Responsibilities:


  • Be the primary point of contact for key decision makers at assigned accounts and build longterm, cross functional relationships within all levels of the organization.
  • Develop account plans defining the current situation analysis, unique value offering, challenges/pain points, and to determine effective penetration and sales growth strategies.
  • Understand competitive landscape, market insights, and effectively communicate across key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze customer's usage of our product to optimize the account's performance in forecast, margin and revenue growth, accounts payable, opportunity pipeline and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Represent Batory portfolio with product and industry insights mining opportunities of relevance at each customer, focusing on priority products and customers.
  • Negotiate prices and agreements with customers that provide mutual value and protections.
  • Organize & lead strategic business reviews with customers to review service, develop consensus on short
- & long-term initiatives, and create new growth opportunities.

  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhance department and organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Responsible for working with the Sales Coordinator to onboard and integrate new clients and developing existing client relationships.
  • Deepen Established Relationships and Turn Prospects into Loyal Clients and Raving Fans.

Personal Qualifications:


  • 5+ years sales experience within the Food Industry.
  • Consultative selling with hunter mentality, negotiation and presentation skills are critical.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively.
  • Strong proficiency in business acumen and mathematics to support strong margin management.
  • Resiliency to organizational changes, process adaptations with ability to troubleshoot.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail and prioritization.
  • Excellent listening and negotiation skills; Critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Confident selfstarter, highly motivated and able to thrive in a resultsdriven environment.
  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity.
  • Ability to prioritize among competing tasks.
  • Domestic travel required as permitted within safety guidelines.

Education and Formal Training:


  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years CRM experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Microsoft D365 experience a plus.
