    JOB SUMMARY: Ideal candidates are highly motivated and effective at working in a fast-paced team environment. We are looking for a customer-focused individual who shares our passion for hospitality and creating exceptional and memorable experiences. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for welcoming and supporting guests with their stay, questions, concerns, and other inquiries. Assist the Front Office team to facilitate communication between guests, hotel visitors, and colleagues to ensure a high level of service to everyone who visits out location.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Provide prompt, courteous and efficient handling of all requests for guest room reservations, changes, and cancellations in accordance with established standards and/or scripts.
    • Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner.
    • Maintain front desk records and changes of said records.
    • Respond appropriately to guest complaints. Make appropriate service recovery gestures to ensure total guest satisfaction.
    • Be aware of hotel occupancy and availability.
    • Assist reservations department as needed or directed.
    • Assist department co-workers in the interest of providing superior guest service.
    • Accurate data processing.
    • Perform check-in and check-out of guests.
    • Run, analyze, and follow-up on front desk reports as directed
    • Adhere to front desk checklist.
    • Direct bell staff to assist guests and enhance the guest service experience.
    • Assist with hotel shuttle service when needed.
    • Communicate with other departments to provide superior guest service and promote teamwork.
    • Perform other traditional front desk clerk duties as assigned or directed.
    • Operate switchboard as assigned or directed.
    • Report any shortage of forms or supplies to a department supervisor.
    • Maintain an organized and well-kept work area/environment.
    • Up-sell rooms, where possible according to established guidelines.
    • Any other duties as deemed necessary by management.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. College degree preferred but not required.
    • English fluency required.
    • Minimum one year experience of customer service. Experience hospitality preferred but not required.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and e-mail systems.
    • Knowledge of systems such as Opera and Delphi preferred.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Ability to stand in one area for extended period of times
    • Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds

    JOB TYPE: Part Time

    PAY RATE: $17.50
