    Description

    For 75 years and counting. Southwest Electric Co. is an electrical services and equipment provider for energy generation companies and a variety of industrial markets. We offer a wide range of services, including engineering and design for custom product development, national field service, preventive maintenance, in-house repair, and specialty OEM logistical services.

    Summary:

    Manages regional and/or target customer accounts primarily for building and maintaining an ongoing business relationship that is mutually beneficial to both the customer and Southwest Electric, with ability to Commute to Tulsa, Oklahoma for meetings.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

    • Travel to customer sites to visit customers, build good business relationships, and promote all products and services offered by Southwest Electric.
    • Solicit business opportunities that fit the strategic goals and objectives as defined by Company management.
    • Review customer specifications to determine whether certain business opportunities are within our capabilities.
    • Review and or create proposals and quotations for products and services according to pricing policies established by Company management.
    • Identify market potential and orders potential within an assigned region or market.
    • Prospect potential customer base to build awareness of Company offers and build opportunity funnel.
    • Provide expertise and recommend strategies consistent with the Company's business plan.
    • Participate in commercial and promotional activities including, but not limited to, attending trade shows and conventions, making presentations to customers, and developing commercial material to promote the Company.
    • Lead the effort to resolve commercial disputes within the assigned customer base.
    • Provide commercial support and facilitate technical and project support to customers.
    • Assist as necessary in the process of resolving payment disputes with customers.
    • Provide regular reports to Company management regarding commercial contacts and market conditions.
    • Demonstrates competency in MS Office, ACT, and other software on PC and mobile platforms. Understands concepts of networking, VPN, and remote access.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Four-year degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience. A technical degree is highly desirable. 5 years or more oil and gas, utilities, power distribution, or otherwise relevant industry with experience in sales.
    • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now.

    Computer Skills:

    • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient and demonstrate competency in MS Office, ACT, and other software on PC and mobile platforms. Understands concepts of networking, VPN, with strong process and systems capabilities. and remote access.
