    Description

At Riot Games we make it better to be a player. To that purpose, and as part of the Events team at Riot Games Publishing, you will collaborate to create remarkable experiences that foster meaningful relationships with player communities around the world. You will help build player trust through authentic and direct engagement while deepening player sentiment and brand awareness with strategically engaging events and innovative storytelling.

As a Principal Publishing Events Professional (Games Publishing), you will collaborate across product, creative, production, community, social, operations, and regions to co-develop the strategy and then lead the creation and deployment of industry-leading experiential activations. Your work will evolve the global perception of the brand and create resonant experiences for our players that complement the product. You will use your expertise to develop ideas that resonate with our IP and audiences, while also leveling up the craft and execution across the Publishing Events team. You will leverage emerging technologies, platforms, and spaces to drive meaningful innovation. You will manage project budgets, identify key metrics + KPI's, and drive insights-based learning to develop business plans that inform future projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Co-develop and implement the Publishing Events strategy across Riot experiential projects and initiatives - built upon the foundation established by Games and/or Program initiatives.
    • Lead a portfolio of program-aligned global events that authentically express Riot's IP, delivering innovative, industry-leading experiences for players with measurable impact.
    • Collaborate across functions to align business and departmental priorities with actionable experiential marketing programming.
    • Build and foster trust across internal teams, creative agencies, and Riot partners to develop and execute Community-focused programming and events.
    • Manage production and execution timelines, milestones, and tasks to ensure high-quality results for the program and game experience.
    • Drive events execution tactics, including overseeing creative and technical production, managing budgets, handling production vendors, and developing creative concepts aligned with event goals.
    • Create and own the implementation and management of production process documentation and trackers for maximum project efficiency.
    • Simultaneously manage multiple medium to large-scale projects, by co-developing project strategy while being responsible for event lifecycle from creation to completion.
    • Guide future-proof strategies to ensure the ongoing relevance and success of our experiential initiatives as part of the overall Riot product portfolio.
    • Maintain consistent communication and collaboration with the Publishing Events Director, while providing craft mentorship across the Publishing Events team.
    • Manage senior relationships across Riot Games for collaboration across aligned slate of Publishing Events projects.
    • Create and manage production and project leadership tools, including RASCI, project org charts, approvals, budget tracking, deliverables, coordination with internal stakeholders, and recap literature.
    • Own budget estimates for multiple projects, including expense tracking. Track the financial and legal lifecycle of our pipeline of activations with contract and budget owners.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 10+ years experience in experiential brand marketing, brand strategy, community building, campaign management or agency equivalent role.
    • Expertise in planning, developing, and executing successful experiential briefs, brand activations, and consumer-led campaigns across a wide array of experiential activities.
    • Experience influencing marketing and product leaders and collaborating across multiple teams.
    • Experience working with strategists, creatives, and external agencies/partners to develop community through live, digital and broadcast events.
    • An understanding of experiential metrics and the tactics employed to improve them.
    • Current knowledge of the fast-moving global games marketing landscape, global competition, innovations, trends and how they impact our business.
    • Direct experience leading/managing a wide range of events, both large and small.
    • Strong communication skills, highly organized, and demonstrated ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships.
    • Extensive project management experience with the ability to actively manage/execute numerous projects at one time.
    • Ability to work well and lead effectively under pressure with tight deadlines.
    • Proven track record of delivering complex events on time and within budget.

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about the experiences of players, this could be the role for you
