Description
Summit Veterinary Referral Center is hiring Day, Swing, and Overnight Licensed Veterinary Technicians for our ER/ICU department.We are currently seeking Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join our team.
As an ER/ICU Technician, you will be responsible for providing veterinary care for our hospitalized and incoming patients you will work with our veterinary team to provide high-quality medical care to both pets and their owners.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be adaptable, have a positive attitude, and a passion for animal care.
Must possess a valid license as a Veterinary Technician or be board eligibleMinimum of two years of experience working as a Licensed Veterinary Technician
Experience in specialty medicine preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
Critical thinking in emergency setting
Provide nursing care and treatment to hospitalized patients
Assist with advanced imaging (Fluoroscopy/X-ray/Ultrasound/MRI/CT)
Communicate with other departments within the hospital or clinic for the overall success of the practice.
10-12 hour shifts 3-4 times per week
~1 scheduled weekend shift per week required
~ On-call shift rotation required once trained
Department & shift coverage needed:
Emergency/ICU
Day Shifts (6am-6pm)
Swing Shifts (Shifts start times vary from 8a-4am)
Overnight (6pm-6am)
Internal Medicine
Neurology
Oncology
Surgery
Hiring Bonus/Relocation assistance Available**~ Hourly pay range- $24.Shift differential for any shift hours worked within 6p-6am $3/hr Mon-Thurs and $5/hr Fri-Sun

Grand rounds occur daily and our specialists are regularly available to consult on cases (even in the middle of the night).
