    Job Summary:
    The Veterinary Pharmacy Technician is a key player in the pharmacy team, ensuring medications are prepared and distributed accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities include order entry, packaging medications, managing inventory, and delivering medications to patient care areas while following legal and safety protocols.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Enter and prepare medication orders for verification.
    • Inspect and manage medication inventory.
    • Pack drugs and maintain packaging records.
    • Prepare medications for distribution.
    • Deliver medications to patient care areas promptly.
    • Handle controlled substances inventory.
    • Enter patient charges accurately.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.

    Requirements:

    • Active WA state LVT License.
    • Prior experience in veterinary medicine.
    • Knowledge of medication names and dosages.
    • Proficient in prescription order entry systems.
    • Strong attention to detail in medication handling.
    • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
    • Understanding of legal and safety regulations in pharmacy practices.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality with patient information.

    Benefits:
