Description

The Senior Estimator will ensure safe, productive, and effective operations by:

Identifying and quantifying construction elements
Entering quantities into pricing software
Providing initial data for Commence software
Supplying Contracts Department with specifications for insurance requirements
Sending new contracts for review
Cultivating vendor relationships and assessing capabilities
Analyzing and scoping vendors for best value
Completing estimates, including bid form requirements and special equipment needs
Researching construction history for value engineering
Packaging and sending proposals on time
Following up with clients for bid receipt and deal closure
Developing client relationships for future opportunities
Collecting data on lost jobs for market monitoring
Providing information to Marketing post-bid
Tracking projects until awarded
Setting up transition meetings for Project Managers
Providing overview of proposals to project teams
Assisting with changes and submittal approvals

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field and 7+ years' experience, or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Estimating software
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret technical documents and regulations
Effective client and team interaction
Understanding of safety and OSHA requirements in estimates
