Coastal Mechanics Tool & Machine is a manufacturer of high-precision Aviation and Military custom components.
We are currently seeking a highly organized Senior Estimator who is willing and ready to be a hard-working team player in a rapidly growing company.
The person we are looking for:A candidate with Senior Estimator experience in the Aviation/Military manufacturing industry.
A candidate with direct experience in the Aviation/Military industry or extensive experience in bidding within the DIBBS procurement system is a huge plus, but not required, for this role that will better equip the candidate to be successful on day one.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must be independent, confident in reading technical manufacturing documents, highly organized and excellent with time management.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Analyze requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
Prepare material, labor, outside process estimates and cost estimates for the product
Send and manage bids from vendors and contractors
Use bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis
Submit prepared estimates to management for review
Submit bids to client and track awards after contact awarded
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to ready and interpret manufacturing drawings and other technical data
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent time management skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Education and Experience:
Minimum 5 years Senior Estimator experience of a custom components manufacturing facility required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.
