- Develop research ideas, lead the experimental evaluation of these ideas, present work to government and commercial clients,

Overview
The Applied Sciences Laboratory at SRI International is seeking multiple Applied and Computational Scientists to conduct research and development in the areas of mathematics of generative AI models, scalable graph analysis methods and network sciences, uncertainty quantification and rare event prediction methods, and quantum computation.
Though knowledge in one or more of these areas is desired, the ability to quickly learn new topics and dive into unfamiliar areas of research is a key ability that will be required.
These positions will be in support of a new computational and mathematical sciences team at SRI International headquarters in Menlo Park, CA, with flexibility for a hybrid work schedule.
Our team focuses on the development of new algorithms for a wide variety of exciting applications including supply chain networks, social graphs, optimization of generative AI models, material failures, and biological systems.
The aim of the team is to conduct and publish research at top venues and assist SRI commercialize relevant technologies by filing patents and spinning out start-ups.

$109,590-$163,015/hr. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles.
