    Description

    Manages Technical Services, Serialization, Information Technology, and other related projects in support of Sharp Packaging Solutions. This includes the coordination of project requirements among all internal company functional areas and communication of project status to Technical Services Manager and others, as required. Responsible for the role of liaison among Customers, Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and other corporate functions as needed, regarding project deliverables, information updates, and pertinent concerns.

    Responsible for the following aspects of the Project Management Process:

    • Primarily responsible for the independent development of Project Scope (i.e. Serialization Requirements Document), Statement of Work, Functional Requirements Specification, and Project Timeline for all new/active projects as required
    • Schedules, facilitates, documents, and communicates action items resulting from project meetings
    • Establishing customer and Sharp functional responsibility (i.e. RACI Matrix and Work Breakdown Structure, WBS) for each project task as required
    • Develops and tracks vendor requirements and prioritizes workload for multiple projects
    • Responsible for the development and management of detailed project plans with the input of the Customer and internal departments as needed
    • Identifies and escalates any issues that arise during project execution
    • Responsible for supporting the deployment of technology services, hardware and software from technical providers as required to support assigned projects
    Responsibilities as Technical Advisor:
    • Provides technical support for assigned project portfolio, including but not limited to: XPReS team projects requiring serialization, track and trace, and/or data exchange and internal process improvement initiatives
    • Assesses technical requirements in support of quote development
    • Utilizes Sharp business and technical applications as required to meet customer project expectations
    • Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical terms
    • Escalates delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes associated to assigned initiatives
    • Assumes the role as main point of contact for technical issues in a project and coordinates with the XPReS team for the non-technical aspects of the projects as applicable
    Other Job Functions:
    • Efficiently balance between the roles of Project Manager and Technical Advisor
    • Supervise consultants and/or contractors on projects as needed
    Qualifications:

    Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University, preferably in a science discipline or a technical area, such as Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Operations Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business or related curricula. A minimum of 18 months relevant and applicable experience preferred. PMP Certification or other applicable certification preferred but not required. Willingness to pursue professional development in one of these areas during employment with Sharp. Lean and/or Six Sigma background is a plus but not required. Advanced Degree from an accredited College or University in a related area (in conjunction with relevant work experience) is preferred but not required.
