This individual must be a strong strategic thinker, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a maturing and fast-paced environment. This position reports into our Chief Compliance Officer but will work closely with the public sector legal team. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of related ethics and compliance and public sector compliance experience.

    Responsibilities:

Draw on public sector and technology compliance experience to provide leadership and ownership of RingCentral's North American public sector compliance program that covers the following areas: government procurement and contracting requirements; trade, domestic-sourcing, and prohibited sources; employment and labor; lobbying; anti-corruption, including ethics and gifts; federal and state reporting; and audit and record retention.

Administer the public sector compliance program.

Provide strategic guidance and advice to create and shape compliant business practices.

Build cross-functional relationships; lead public sector compliance and other ethics and compliance initiatives as necessary or

    assigned.

Lead efforts relating to the preparation, implementation, and optimization of forms, processes, and procedures needed to scale, and mitigate risks associated with RingCentral's public sector business.

Design and implement public sector compliance training for key internal functions.

Provide public sector compliance expertise to other RingCentral attorneys where relevant, including with respect to international public sector procurements, channel, and strategic partners.

Collaborate and work with the public sector legal team to manage public sector certifications and representations.

Collaborate and work with the public sector legal team to manage subcontracting compliance, including contract flowdowns.

Track new and emerging public sector compliance requirements and trends.

Manage outside counsel matters and demonstrate ability to properly scope work and manage to budget.

    Qualifications & Skills:

JD or MBA with excellent academic credentials preferred, including admission to a state bar for JD and compliance with all necessary licensing requirements.

4+ years of related ethics and compliance and public sector experience

Deep knowledge and understanding of U.S. federal contract compliance requirements.

Experience in state and local compliance requirements, particularly in key states, such as California, Florida, New York, and Texas, as well as experience with Canadian federal,

    provincial/territorial,

and municipal government procurement, is a plus.

Cloud and/or telecommunications experience and a familiarity with FedRAMP, StateRAMP, or other similar cybersecurity frameworks.

Proactive and self-motivated owner with ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and work through ambiguity with little supervision in a fast-paced, high-growth, and evolving environment.

Exceptional ability to understand and assess risk.

Ability to think and plan strategically and execute tactically. Strong business judgment.

Willingness and ability to develop creative solutions when appropriate or build consensus for difficult or unpopular courses of action, when necessitated by regulatory and contractual

    requirements.

    Ability to work

    cross-functionally.

Enthusiasm for building and scaling public sector programs and evangelizing public sector requirements and practices to a commercially focused company.
