    We are looking for a Junior to Mid Level Accountant to join our team. This is a growth position. This individual will start by preparing returns for the principles and handling bookkeeping for clients. Eventually we want this person to become a senior accountant which means conducting client meetings and to being the lead on client jobs. For the right candidate, once you are more senior, we offer the opportunity to build you own book of business organically within our firm from our constant stream of referrals.

    We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with simple returns and when faced with something more complicated, knows how to use the tax guide and IRS resources to tackle new and more complicated problems. This individual must be able to self manage and be eager to advance and make more money.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Prepare basic federal and state income tax returns. (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120-S).

    2. Client bookkeeping

    3. Draft basic financial statements and reports.

    4. Liaise with clients and track the progress of client jobs.

    5. Learning, researching and reading instructions to tackle jobs of increasing complexity.

    6. Communicating clearly and effectively with clients.

    Qualifications:

    1. Must be a self starter with the ability to self-manage.

    2. Must be motivated to advance with the knowledge that your advancement will be met with increased compensation and opportunities.

    3. Bachelor's degree in accounting.

    4. 1-2 years experience in accounting or related field.

    5. Experience preparing simple returns.

    6. Basic bookkeeping skills

    7. Basic computer skills (excel, word, and navigating a digital file structure).

    8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
