    Job DescriptionSummary of Responsibilities:

    Reporting to Director of Sales & Marketing, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to:Responsible for meeting and exceeding personal sales booking goals & call activity goals (monthly, quarterly and yearly)Responsible for identifying key SMART action steps for each quarter that will achieve booking goalsAssist in planning and implementing strategies and action plans to increase group businessRequired to conduct active prospecting efforts to develop new business within new and existing accounts to generate long term success for the hotelConduct best in class site inspections to showcase hotel product and services and convert businessEntertainment of clients as appropriate to build and strength relationships.

    Travel as appropriate to various industry and company related client events in key feeder marketsUtilization of Opera Sales & Catering sales system in compliance with FH&R and Fairmont Pittsburgh standardsInvolvement in industry associations and local community organizations by participating in monthly meetings and committee role as appropriateStaying familiar with industry trends via appropriate publicationsAbility to think strategically about hotels niche in business community and where to pursue business leads for all segments of hotelFollow up on leads in respective territory both by telephone and by written correspondence within 1 hour timeframeParticipate in all required meetings (weekly sales meetings and morning sales and catering lead meeting).

    Participating in on going brainstorming sessions.

    Adhering to all Fairmont Hotels & Resorts sales standardsParticipation required at sales training including Situational Selling, Negotiation Training, shop score of 90% company goalParticipate in all Fairmont Hotels & Resorts territory sales events and trade shows, involves preparation of events, invitation of clients and facilitating of eventMaintain positive relations with all Guests, Vendors, Colleagues and Global Sales Offices within respective market.


    QualificationsQualifications:
    Three or more years of related experience, preferably in the Luxury Market.
    Bachelor's degree or master's degree required, ideally in a related field.
    Must be a clear communicator, able to confidently interact with VIP's and Senior Executives.

    Must be computer literate and proficient in MS office and be able to fully utilize Opera Sales and Catering System.

    Knowledge of lead generation programs an asset.
    Must have a valid driver's license.
