    Location: New York, NY
    Duration: 3 Months

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of emergency room nursing experience and proficiency in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation procedures. This role requires quick thinking, strong clinical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Provide expert nursing care to patients presenting to the emergency room with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions.
    2. Perform rapid and accurate patient assessments, including triage, and initiate appropriate interventions based on patient acuity and urgency.
    3. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with nursing protocols and standards of care.
    4. Conduct IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures with proficiency and adherence to infection control practices.
    5. Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with conscious sedation procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
    6. Monitor patient vital signs, assess for changes in condition, and intervene promptly to address emergent or deteriorating situations.
    7. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, technicians, and support staff, to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
    8. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education, support, and reassurance throughout their emergency room experience.
    9. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
    10. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

    Qualifications:

    1. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [Insert State].
    2. Minimum of two years of emergency room nursing experience required.
    3. Proficiency in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation procedures.
    4. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC certification preferred.
    5. Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    6. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on patient-centered care.
    7. Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize effectively in a dynamic and unpredictable environment.
    8. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
    9. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred.
