    Description

    Responsibilities:

    The Sponsor Finance Specialist/Underwriter has the responsibility to work with the Private Bankers and Transactors in North America and Latin America to complete the due diligence, underwrite, obtain credit approval, review loan documentation and close bilateral, agented or participation facilities (Subscription Credit Facilities or SCFs) to Private Equity Firms secured by their LP capital commitments.

    Assist in the preparation of EDAC and Greenlight memoranda (as applicable)In partnership with the Transactors assist with the structuring and execution of more complex or tailored transactions, meeting Risk Acceptance CriteriaFull loan underwriting with appropriate risk return characteristics of Citi Private Bank's standard product range, ensuring appropriate compliance with Credit Policy and Risk Acceptance standardsPreparation of Credit Applications ensuring accuracy and completeness of dataAssist in the negotiation of credit documentation for facilities, including liaison with external counsel as requiredPortfolio management, including CA Annual Reviews, covenant monitoring and compliance, waivers and extensions and all related system maintenance including the LP databaseProblem Recognition and assisting with classified loans remedial management.

    Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


    Qualifications:
    5+ years of credit related experienceExperience in underwriting, seeking credit approval, negotiating loan documents and closing bilateral and syndicated SCFs Experience in managing a portfolio of SCFsStrong and proven analytical, financial structuring and execution skillsExcellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsStrong negotiation skillsStrong initiative and interactive approach to problem-solvingDisplays flexibility and independence in a demanding environmentTeam PlayerEducation:Bachelor's degree
