    Finance/Accounting /Billing Specialist

    Our client, a well established, boutique, multi office Law firm is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller/Finance/Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting department staff and ensure the smooth financial operations of our organization.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Monitoring time entries in LSS and notifying all employees regarding prebill printing and expense reports
    • Generating and printing prebills monthly and preparing partner fee reports
    • Processing payroll twice a month in both ADP and LSS for 3 offices
    • Sending out Fee Reports to all attorneys from bi-monthly payroll
    • Entering AP invoices, billing into large client electronic systems, and processing quick checks
    • Reconciling all bank statements, entering ACH, wires, and mailed checks into LSS, and processing in the bank
    • Preparing and processing daily cash reports and monitoring cash flow
    • Dealing with vendor/invoice issues and working with assistant/attorneys/clients regarding past due invoices
    • Handling new case calls and ordering supplies for all offices
    • Working yearly with health insurance brokers on new rates/new employees and assisting with onboarding/training on LSS
    • Collaborating with outside accountant on taxes, K-1s, preparing 1099's, and processing 401K deductions/yearly reports
    • Managing cash requests/wire transfers, preparing staff performance review reports, and handling all insurance renewals (Liability, EPLI, Cyber etc.)
    • Calendar all contract, 401K deadlines

    The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, 5+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience in a law firm, strong knowledge of finance/accounting software such as LSS, ADP, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
