The Information Technology Specialist II will develop and document project system architecture and all interfaces. This position will develop and maintain system hardware and software documentation and technical system documentation. The Lead Technical Architect/Analyst will act as the technical subject matter expert providing expert guidance on all aspects of the solution for the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). Throughout the project this position will be responsible for architecture review, design review, programming (if necessary), all levels of testing, and implementation (or at least integration within the DDS environment). Once the solution is in production, the Lead Technical Architect/Analyst will be DDS' tier 2 advanced technical support.

The Lead Technical Architect/Analyst will collaborate with DDS management, subject matter experts, stakeholders, and representatives from other participating departments (DHCS, OSI, CDA, CDPH, and CDSS) to ensure the proposed DDS requirements are implemented properly while remaining in compliance with the overall Agency solutions. The Technical Architect will ensure integration of the architectures and solutions of architects within specific domains in ITD including the information domain and the technology domain.

This position is eligible to participate in DDS' hybrid telework schedule. Participation in telework is subject to DDS' guidelines.

Working Conditions

Department Information
The California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is the agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities.

These disabilities include intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and related conditions. Services are provided through state-operated developmental centers and community facilities, and contracts with 21 nonprofit regional centers. The regional centers serve as a local resource to help find and access the services and supports available to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

The DDS is located in a modern, sustainable and innovative office building at 1215 "O" Street, Sacramento, California. Some amenities of the building include:
