Will Consider Staff Services Analyst


Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, Statewide Unit, the incumbent is responsible for technical and administrative operations including, but not limited to assisting in maintaining and monitoring expert witness and service contracts, run reports from various systems to support the Legal Division, assist in analyzing technical data, process and monitor Division contracts, purchase equipment, contract status, and various other reporting required to keep Legal Management apprised of any potential issues that fall within the Statewide Impact Unit.


  • Develops service and Expert Witness contracts. Responsible for monitoring contract balances and disencumbering funds. Must provide reports on all contracts in progress, therefore, it is essential to possess indepth knowledge of databases. Familiarity with Info Advantage, DataLink, CATS, Legal Case Management system and other databases. Must be knowledgeable of the duties and responsibilities of the Contract Manager and ability to perform as such. Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Suite specifically Excel, and PowerPoint are essential as is knowledge of Legal terminology. Track, monitor, and report on Service Authorization costs and usage statewide. Must be knowledgeable in all statewide procurement areas, including service contracts, expert witness contracts, IT and nonIT and CAL-Card. Responsible for ensuring compliance with procurement rules, regulations and guidelines. Work with Division of Procurement and Contracts (DPAC) and DGS in carrying out various types of procurement for all five legal offices. Must be CAL-Card eligible.

Working Conditions


Position located in Sacramento, Sacramento County.
While at their base of operation, employees will work in a climate-controlled office under artificial light. However, due to periodic problems with the heating and air conditioning, the building temperature may fluctuate.
