    The Assistant/Associate Director of Enrollment Management and Community Outreach is a full-time, 12-month position. As an active and present member of the Latin community, the Assistant/Associate Director will lead outreach efforts to help attract a diverse student body while fostering a culture of inclusion. This person will also assist with day-to-day operations of the department. This is a key role in shaping the future of the Latin community. Reports to the Director of Enrollment Management and Financial Aid. The title (Assistant or Associate) will be determined based on the person's experience.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead school-wide outreach (JK-12), focusing on main entry points, JK, 5th and 9th grades
      • Implement strategies to attract a diverse pool of applicants from various backgrounds, identities, cultures, abilities, and life experiences
      • Develop, cultivate, and manage external partnerships including feeder schools, community organizations, and educational partners.
      • Work with Director of Enrollment Management and Financial Aid to help develop new strategies and programs to attract diverse applicants
      • Represent Latin at school events.
      • Coordinate participation of student and parent/guardian volunteers at these events.
      • Orchestrate parent/guardian informational sessions for prospective parents /guardians and students
    • Lead middle school admissions committee; interview prospective middle school students and parents/guardians
    • Serve as the point person for communication between Enrollment Management with community based organizations and scholarships
    • Collect and track data pertaining to students from underrepresented backgrounds, JK-12
    • Collaborate with Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, acting as point person for communications between Enrollment Management and DEI department
    • Serve on the Council for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Assist with traditional application process and season activities, including but not limited to, interviews, attending school fairs, phone inquiries, Open House, etc.
    • Assist with Ravenna (application system)
    • Other duties as required

    This position requires occasional nights and weekends.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred
    • 2+ years' experience in education that includes some experience implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts
    • Experience working in admissions in educational environments
    • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills: attention to detail, follow-up, and follow-through
    • Computer proficiency including familiarity working with Ravenna, Blackbaud, and Google Office Suites
    • Ability to quickly establish rapport with new people, coupled with vibrant energy, enthusiasm, and a keen sense of humor.
