I work for the Chicago Public Schools System and I have the summers off. Looking to utilize my coaching skills in a summer position.

Alcorn State University 1985 -1988

Student Assistant at Alcorn State University. Women’s Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Tennis. Helped the athletic department implement Women’s Volleyball and Women’s Tennis to comply with Title IX.

Worked under Volleyball Head Coach Gary Harper (1985), Volleyball Head Coach Tyrone Caldwell (1986 to 1987) and Men’s and Women’s Tennis Head Coach (1988) Lonnie Walker Sr.

Jackie Robinson West: 1999 - 2015 

Began coaching my sons when they were 7 and 8 years old.  Assistant coach of the 11 year old postseason tournament team in 2000. Managed the JRW minor leagues in house all star team in 2008. I was selected to coach the 9-10 year old tournament team in 2009 based on successfully training young men and ladies on the fundamentals of the game. Advanced the 10-11 year old team to the Illinois State Finals where we finished in 4th place in 2010. Managed the 14-16 year old tournament team in 2011 and 2012. Managed the 17-18 year old tournament team to the state finals in 2013 (5th Place), 2014 (3rd Place), and 2015 (5th place).

 

Boys Baseball at Harlan Community Academy 2004 – 2016, 2022

I have been on the coaching staff that has participated in six CPS City Championships, Won in 2004 at the Sophomore Level against Lane Technical High School, and 2011 at the Varsity Level against Simeon Career Academy. Won 12 IHSA Regional Championships, Eight Sectional Titles. Sent Dozens of players to college on Baseball scholarships. Produced 17 MLB draft picks. My last class recruited in 2013, six of the twelve we brought in as freshmen in 2013 signed to National Letters of Intent for 2017 to Wiley College, The University of Dubuque, Northern Illinois University, Claflin University, and Two at Lincoln University of Pennsylvania.

Boys Baseball at Uplift Community High School 2020

I was the Head Coach of the Varsity Baseball Team in the spring of 2020. The season was cancelled due to the pandemic right before we were scheduled to begin play.

Boys Baseball at Chicago Vocational Career Academy 2021

I was brought in to be the Head Coach of the Sophomore Baseball Team in the spring of 2021. Unfortunately we were unable to field a team due to the number of students taking classes remotely. I then became the assistant coach for the CVCA varsity team.

Girls Volleyball at Harlan Community Academy 2004 – 2005

I was the Head Girls Sophomore Volleyball Coach and the Varsity Girls Assistant Volleyball Coach.

Statistician for the Olive-Harvey Panthers Women’s Volleyball Team 2019 - Present

I kept the match statistics and did the Libero tracking for the Olive-Harvey Women’s Volleyball Team’s home games.
