    The Business Development Manager for Industry Groups plays a pivotal role within the expanding industry group team and the overall firmwide Marketing and Business Development team.

    This position will lead the marketing and business development planning and execution for the firm's Fintech industry group and serve in a support role for the Artificial Intelligence, Electronic Gaming, and NewSpace industry groups.

    This individual will play an integral role, working directly with Partners and senior leadership in raising the profile of these groups, both internally and externally, and driving initiatives that contribute to client and pipeline development.

    The position will work closely with the entire business development and marketing team, drawing on those resources to develop, deliver, and measure the results of initiatives and campaigns for the relevant industry groups.


    Responsibilities Include:


    Shape industry groups' marketing and business development strategies in collaboration with each group's leadershipDevelop and drive the firm's industry centric messaging across all marketing channelsWork with Business Development and Communications to produce industry-centric collateral and thought leadership piecesCollaborate across Business Development to ensure awareness of cross- and single-practice initiatives as well as industry developments and trendsWork with Business Development Leads to identify opportunities to introduce relevant new services to clients and prospectsIdentify subscriptions, memberships, and events that further industry knowledge and provide new sources for lead generationCoordinate with Industry group leadership teams and clearly articulate each group's overall strategy and objectives with key constituents and stakeholders within the firmDevelop strategies in collaboration with key attorneys as a means of generating business for the firm within the given industries and existing clients within those industriesOversee the development and delivery of innovative, distinctive, and integrated profile-raising campaigns and initiatives through the relevant industries, including client events, targeted seminar programs, client-facing material production, website development, digital and social media, etc.

    Identifying cross-selling opportunities across industries and other practice areas and working with the practice leaders, other attorneys, and wider BD team to expand client relationshipsCoach lawyers on business and client development initiativesDesired Skills and Qualifications:Minimum of five years of experience in related field (Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered)Law firm or professional services business development experience requiredStrong customer service ethicExemplary communication skills, both verbal and written Extremely detail-oriented, with superior proofreading and fact checking skills Efficient, highly organized and ability to stay productive under pressure with tight deadlines Must be proficient in the use of MS Office including PowerPoint, Word, and ExcelAptitude for learning new software, systems, databases, and procedures quickly Ability to work independently and in team environmentsSelf-motivated, positive attitude, and a deep curiosity about technology, life sciences, and the new energy economyAbility to travel and attend key events and meetings on occasionBachelor's degree preferred, but not requiredPosition is ideally based in our Washington DC, New York, Palo Alto, or San Francisco offices, but this is negotiable The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto, but other locations are also listed.

    The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location.

    The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows:

    San Francisco and Silicon Valley:
    $131,750 - $178,250 per yearAustin, Boston, Boulder, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Seattle, and Wilmington: $119,000 - $161,000 per yearSalt Lake City and all other locations: $105,400 - $142,600 per yearThe compensation for this position may include a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance.
