    The Payroll Supervisor / Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing a small team that assists with the timely and accurate preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll, via Workday, for approximately 3,000 employees in the United States and Canada.

    This includes both processing salaried and hourly wages to employees and remitting corresponding tax and benefit withholdings to the appropriate government agencies or outsourced vendors.

    The ideal candidate can work both independently and lead a team to meet recurring and off cycle deadlines.

    This position plays a critical role in maintaining the Workday system/ platform and assisting with intermittent growth-related projects, such as add-on acquisitions or initiatives identified by company management, the Human Resources department, or the Payroll team to streamline the payroll process.

    Essential Functions:
    Oversee a one- to two-person team to ensure the timely preparation and processing of bi-weekly payrolls via Workday
    Collaborate with Human Resources and Payroll team to answer questions related to off cycle payroll requests, compensation changes, or benefits updates
    Calculate quarterly or annual bonuses in coordination with Operations team and company management
    Update and distribute scheduled payroll reports for management and operational review
    Maintain appropriate payroll records in accordance with company policies and procedures
    Oversee quarterly and year-end checklist in conjunction with third-party, ADP, to assist in preparation of quarterly and annual wage & tax filings
    Participate in worker's compensation insurance, 401k, unemployment, and financial audits
    Respond to direct report, other department, and management inquiries in a timely manner
    Assist in identifying and implementing process efficiencies
    Perform ad-hoc analysis and other job-related duties as assigned


    Skills & Qualifications:
    5+ years of payroll experience
    Bachelor's degree in accounting, sciences, or related field preferred, but not required
    Knowledge of processing multi location payroll in system/ platform; Workday preferred
    Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
    Strong time management and organization skills
    Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
    Deadline-oriented
    Self-motivated
    Strong work ethic and team player
    Effective verbal and written communication skills
    Strong PC and technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
    Experience in a high-growth organization is a plus

    Physical Demands:


    This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds and operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and arms to reach, handle or feel.


    Work Environment:
    Hybrid (4 days in-office; 1 day remote)
