    Role Summary
    The Sr Specialist, Marketing Operations & Strategy, reporting to the Sr.

    Director of Revenue Operations and Strategy, will be responsible for partnering with the Global Events and Executive Programs teams to refine the metrics packs, improve operational efficiencies and processes through event tech stack enhancements and drive operational cadences to ensure we're optimizing programs in a data driven way.

    This person is empowered to drive optimization operationally, and in a collaborative way.

    What you'll get to do

    • Own the end to end metrics pack development, data analysis for our global events and executive programs teams
    • Take business context and needs from our global events and executive programs teams and translate into tech stack requirements for our martech and event teams to have the most efficient and effective operational set-up.
    • Lead operational cadence and drive regular interlocks with global events and ECX teams, to monitor performance against plan, identify key potential operational issues, track progress against key action items, etc.
    • Provide key ad hoc analysis (e.g. pre-event registration reporting, post event impact etc.) to help the management team refine/adjust the strategy as needed.
    • Drive the CXO database append process for our top accounts to ensure programs that target these CXOs are of the highest data quality and to help scale our CXO programs.
    • Establish an evidence based culture to champion our pipeline contribution and drive positive rates of return on our program investments
    • Run postmortem meetings on key marketing programs to assess what is driving the best outcomes and how to replicate it across other programs
    • Lead key initiatives across Marketing that will have a positive impact on growth, efficiency, retention, and/or the Customer Experience.
    • Provide key ad hoc analysis (e.g. funnel optimization, propensity to buy models, etc.) to help the management team refine/adjust the strategy as needed.
    • Collect, organize, track, tag and communicate data and specs required to report on campaign performance.
    • Be accountable, with the extended team to deliver executive level reporting on progress against program goals.

    Must-have Qualifications

    • 4 years of event Demand Generation experience with at least 2-3 years of successfully supporting an event marketing or demand gen team.
    • Experience with Marketing tech stack, performance marketing, and reporting/attribution tools. A plus if you have experience in Salesforce, Rainfocus, Swoogo, Jifflenow and/or Briefing Source.
    • Proven track record of converting data-driven analytics to drive targeted and more effective event programs.
    • Ability to drive and lead change management programs across functionally and geographically distributed strategic organizations.
    • Strong experience in collaborating effectively with key Sales and Marketing stakeholders and leading by influence.
    • Strong intellectual curiosity to develop and embrace new standard methodologies to build a continuous improvement culture.
    • Combines competitiveness with empathy, along with a high-level of personal and professional integrity.
    • Full immersion in all Marketing channels (both offline and digital) at a rapidly growing SaaS organization focused on a B2B audience.
    • Bachelor's degree required.

    Base Pay Range
    SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

    Base Pay Range:
    $108, ,500.00 per year
    California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

    Base Pay Range:
    $97, ,650.00 per year
    All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

    Base Pay Range:
    $86, ,800.00 per year
    Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location.

    Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate.


    In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
