    LITIGATION PARALEGAL

    We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and driven Paralegal with 7+ years of experience to join our team in the defense of high-stakes, complex Criminal and Civil Litigation cases. As a Paralegal, you will be involved in all aspects of a case and will have responsibilities that will take you from the conference room, to the war room, to the courtroom. You will collaborate closely with the lawyers in your cases, as well as with experts, consultants, investigators, witnesses, vendors, and with the client. You will also communicate with various government agencies as well as with the Courts, including the Clerk's Office and the Chambers of the Judges in your cases. Because we defend cases as a team, it's important that you enjoy working in a team setting where you collaborate with your team members, build teamwork, and can jump in during a crunch to help others.

    What you will do:

    • Review and organize discovery.
    • Research social media, public records, and other online databases.
    • e-File pleadings on Pacer and with the state courts.
    • Prepare subpoenas and monitor compliance with and responses to subpoenas.
    • Analyze, index, organize and manage production documents, as well as prepare production logs.
    • Identify key documents to assist with preparation for hearings and depositions.
    • Electronic labeling of exhibits for depositions and hearings.
    • Work with Judicial Assistants and opposing parties to schedule hearings.
    • Proofread and redline documents for inaccuracies.
    • Work with Court Reporters on logistics for attending hearings and depositions.
    • Interact with experts, consultants, and witnesses.
    • Gather and organize exhibits for hearings and for trial.
    • Attend and assist as needed during trial.
    • Prepare and manage witness and exhibits lists.
    • Summarize depositions.
    • Create PowerPoint and other presentations.
    • Create tables of contents and of authorities.
    • Format and proofread motions and briefs.
    • Perform administrative duties such as calendar hearings and deadlines, redact documents, and Bates stamp.
    • We represent clients throughout the United States, so you may be traveling overnight, for one or more days at a time.

    The skills you should have:

    • You have experience as a litigation paralegal in preparing civil cases for trial.
    • You know how to work on eDiscovery document databases, including Relativity.
    • You have advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. This means, for example, that you can create slideshows, work with a spreadsheet, create a table of contents or a table of authorities, develop a timeline of events, create and update an exhibit list, and format a Word document.
    • You have experience with Word redline features.
    • You have working knowledge of both State and Federal e-filing portals.
    • You have the ability to perform Westlaw research.
    • You are comfortable setting up video meetings and have the ability to share exhibits on the Zoom platform.
    • You are extremely organized and can juggle multiple deadlines.
    • We hope that you speak Spanish, but this is not required.
