    Job DescriptionDescription:

    The financial controller is a significant member of the management team and is responsible for overseeing and supervising all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting including development and evaluation of internal control policies and procedures.

    Key Job Responsibilities:

    • Preparation of timely monthly financial statements and management reports.
    • Support month-end and year-end close process.
    • Preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and monitor results.
    • Plan, organize and direct day-to-day accounting operations to meet strategic goals and objectives established by the executive management team.
    • Supervise and manage all accounting operations including billing, inventory, AR, AP, GL and financial reporting.
    • Develop, evaluate and document business processes, internal controls and accounting policies.
    • Coordinate human resource functions such as payroll, benefits and employee census data.
    • Establish working relationships with outside business professionals such as bankers, attorneys, accountants and other outsourced professionals.
    • Manage and comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements.
    Requirements:

    Experience and Qualifications:

    • Proven work experience as a financial controller in manufacturing environment.
    • 5 or more years' experience in corporate accounting or equivalent.
    • Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
    • CPA or CMA preferred.
    • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
    • Experience in financial reporting utilizing generally accepted accounting principles.
    • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Technical expertise in utilizing various software systems.
    • Utilization of business and management principles including budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources.
