ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
A rotating, 40 hour work week. Monday thru Sunday, various schedules, with possible weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Cleaning and maintenance of centers and equipment including restrooms, kitchen and grounds; open and/or close facility; maintain inventory of center equipment and supplies; set up equipment, furniture and supplies for meetings, programs, special events, and center rentals; perform minor maintenance duties; monitors parking lots and ensures safety of participants; heavy public contact; may occasionally assist with loading and unloading supplies from delivery trucks, assists with meal programs at senior/recreation centers, clean pans and load carts for pick up.

May occasionally be assigned meal delivery driver duties at the Central Kitchen. May occasionally provide staff coverage at other sites

Qualifications

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and six (6) months of directly related experience.

Work requires the ability to read and understand written instructions, to understand simple processes and the routine operation of machined.

Must have or be able to obtain a Food Handler's Permit, First Aid and CPR within 90 days of hire.

A valid driver's license is required at time of application and hire.

Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

Closing Statement

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.

Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.

In the event of an emergency, employees are required to work to provide for the safety and well-being of the general public, including the delivery and restoration of vital services.

This position is classified as Safety Sensitive.

All employees in safety sensitive positions are subject to random drug testing, pursuant to City policy, HR 15.0 Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
