    Description

    Our client is a leading regional public accounting firm with a strong presence in Dallas, Texas, specializing in providing comprehensive tax and financial services to a diverse client base.

    They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Tax to join their team in Dallas, Texas.

    The Director of Tax will play a pivotal role in leading the tax department, providing strategic guidance, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Lead and manage the tax department, including tax planning, compliance, and consulting services for individuals, businesses, and organizations.


    • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes for clients.


    • Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex tax issues, including mergers and acquisitions, international tax, state and local tax, and tax controversies.


    • Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to advise clients and ensure compliance.



    • Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing training, guidance, and support to promote professional growth and development.
    Participate in business development activities, including networking, client meetings, and proposal preparation to acquire new clients and expand services.

    Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in general, non specialized tax accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.



    • Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.


    • Experience with tax planning, compliance, and consulting services for individuals, businesses, real estate, trust, foundations and exempt organizations.


    • Proficiency in tax software, CCH ProSystem Tax Software preferred and Microsoft Office Suite.
