About Shilpa Saluja:

1) Around 14 years of experience completely in the Banking domain. Have worked for HSBC Bank, Standard Bank of South Africa (3+ years in South Africa) & Barclays Bank(UK) during this tenure.

2) Have in depth knowledge on Debit and Credit card domains for Retail and Personal banking. Payments (Authorisation, clearing & Settlement Process) via POS/ATM, mobile banking , Branch application), Card processing system( Ordering, Servicing, maintenance process).

3) Have worked on Mandatory and Regulatory projects, Quarterly VISA/MAster Card upgrades/ Enhancements of POS terminals and ATM (using Postilion, Tandem, 3270, TRIUMPH) , Medium/large scale projects involving multiple component systems and third parties like VISA scheme, MasterCard, LINK.
 

4) Was Solely accountable for E2E testing and Delivery which includes  Single point of contact for Project management /Stakeholders, Analysis of Testing Feasibility, Project Test estimation, Resource estimation and allocation, Test Strategy/Plan, Highlighting Risk/Mitigation, Assumptions, Timely completion of Test Execution and Deliverables, Daily Status, Triage call, Test completion report, team management are  some of them. 


 

Experience

  • Around 14 years of software industry experience in Quality assurance as a Test Manager and Team Lead- in Managing/Testing of various size software applications and Projects in the Banking Domain. (Debit/Credit cards payments via POS/ATM transactions including clearing & settlement for Personal and retail banking).
  • Expertise in end to end Test Management and delivery across multiple technologies/System including Web Applications (Personal and retail, online and mobile banking, branch application), E2E debit/credit Card testing for regulatory and Mandatory projects involving third party like VISA Scheme, quarterly VISA/MASTER Card upgrades/Enhancements of POS terminals and ATM (using Postilion, Tandem, 3270, THRIUMP) including clearing/Settlement process and reports reconciliation.
  • Good knowledge of card domain from Issuer bank perspective, strong Team Management, coordination and planning capability with forward thinking, committed test manager with a proven ability to meet agreed deadlines and delivery with quality  using waterfall, Agile methodology, scrum framework, MVP and MMP model.
  • Proficient in Manual and automation Test Management, Test Architecture, Driving Test Automation, Defect Management, Requirement analysis,  Quality Metrics Review and Reporting, Test Governance, Estimation, Resourcing, Test Planning, Creation of Test Strategy/Test plan, Test Execution, UAT/Status reporting, Team handling & developing testing best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills. Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills. Has a positive approach in problem solving and taking challenges.
  • Gained exposure to Selenium (Web driver) and  automation Test planning.
  • 3+ years of Onsite experience with Discovery-South Africa, Standard Bank of South Africa-SBSA, HSBC (UK) as Clients.
  • Certified in ISTQB
  • Rich experience with working in global delivery model with Onsite and Offshore Teams, Vendor Teams, Business Teams, Developers and Technicians.
