    Job Posting: Payroll Lead Specialist

    Location: Phoenix, AZ
    Salary Range: $68,000 - $78,000
    Type: Full-Time

    Company: LHH is working with a client in Phoenix, AZ, seeking to hire an experienced Payroll Lead Specialist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in multi-state payroll processing and taxation.

    Job Description:

    As the Payroll Lead Specialist, you will oversee and ensure the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and supplemental payrolls. Your role involves managing multi-cycle, multi-state payrolls while maintaining meticulous data records for tracking travel per diems and other taxable fringe benefits. You will prepare reports for the Accounting/Finance team, support year-end payroll reconciliation, and process adjustments as needed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process multi-cycle, multi-state payrolls, including bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and supplemental payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Manage and maintain data in applicable spreadsheets for tracking travel per diems and other taxable fringe benefits.
    • Prepare detailed reports for the Accounting/Finance team.
    • Support year-end payroll reconciliation and process necessary adjustments.
    • Utilize Excel for VLOOKUPs and other advanced functions for data analysis and reporting.
    • Stay up-to-date with payroll taxation laws and regulations, particularly concerning multi-state payroll and travel expenses.

    Qualifications:

    • At least 5 years of full cycle payroll processing experience, including multi-state payrolls.
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll taxation and travel expense payroll.
    • Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and other advanced functions.
    • Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    Pay Details: $32.00 to $37.00 per hour
