    This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


    General Summary of Duties: Coordination of patient care includes, but not limited to, patient scheduling and insurance verification. As a member of SouthernMED's Patient Services Call Center Team, the position's primary focus is to ensure a positive patient experience by demonstrating quality customer service skills when answering a high volume of phone calls on a daily basis.

    Major Responsibilities
    • Answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments for 30+ providers located at eleven (11) pediatric offices in SC
    • Verifying insurance on various websites and portals
    • Communication to sites regarding patient care
    • Filling in for front desk employees at various sites as needed
    Job Requirements
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Experience in a medical setting preferred
    • Professional phone etiquette is a must
    • Professional and courteous demeanor is a must
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Bilingual skills are preferred, but not required
    • Call Center experience is preferred, but not required
