- Provide interpretation of the mill's Labor Agreement for all affected employees.
- Conduct investigations and ensure the proper enforcement of company policies and regulations on a consistent basis throughout the mill.
- Manage all grievances presented to the company.
- Manage all hourly staffing numbers and ensure the departments are staffed according to budgeted numbers.
- Manage the Labor Pool numbers and assignments.
- Participate in arbitrations.
- Participate in contract negotiations.
- Participate in interviews and onboarding for all salaried and hourly employees.
- Ability to work effectively in both a team environment, and independently.
- Effective problem-solving techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) to interact with mill management, union leadership and all other mill employees.
- Strong work ethic, "hands-on" approach to work, and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with a manufacturing setting; Demonstrates consistent personal safe work practices.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field combined with 3+ years of labor relations experience or 7+ years of labor relations experience without a bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in human resource management at progressive levels is preferred.
- Working knowledge of EEO, ADA, and NLRB rules and regulations
- PHR or SPHR
- Experience in Manufacturing Environment.
