    North America Strategic Business Development Director- New York, NY, or Remote New York or Florida Area.

    Are you an innovative sales leader with a hunter's mindset? We are searching for an exceptionally skilled individual at cross-selling to expand our partnerships within our large-scale portfolio.

    This impactful opportunity will be responsible for large-scale cross-selling within an existing strategic partnership portfolio, new business sales within assigned industries, and new industry development sales efforts.

    Role Responsibilities

    Reporting directly to Western Union's Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, this role will lead the retention, renewal, and growth of our strategic partnership portfolio. Responsibilities include:

    • Establish and nurture relationships at existing networks to develop new business.
    • Meet and exceed goals related to large-scale growth opportunities with assigned existing partners including cross-selling new products/services.
    • Engage in industry events, conferences, tradeshows, and speaking engagements to establish oneself as an 'industry expert' in domestic and international financial services.
    • Research and pursue new industries where Western Union could deliver differentiated value.
    • Participate in annual planning meetings and updates with existing partners.
    • Create professional client-facing and internal presentations as needed.
    • Record growth opportunities and risks within CRM.
    • Engage in large-scale cross-selling within an existing partnership portfolio and new business sales in assigned industries.
    • Nurture account development relationships with coworkers managing existing partnerships.

    Role Requirements

    • 5-7 years of successful business development experience in retail, digital, and/or financial services.
    • Proven track record of winning and exceeding growth targets.
    • Preference for a business or finance degree.
    • Excellent communication and management skills with the ability to influence individuals and teams.
    • Experience in building relationships with external partners.
    • Advanced Microsoft skills for creating professional presentations.
    • Ability to establish oneself as an industry expert.
    • Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
    • Strategic and creative thinking abilities.
    • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

    Salary

    The base salary range is $160,000 – $200,000 USD per year. Variable compensation and stock incentives are based on individual and company performance.
