Assurance Manager
based in our
Saddle Brook, NJ
office who will be responsible for managing assurance engagements, with minimal oversight by the Partner.
This position will be an active role model and leader for staff to emulate and will be responsible to manage budgets and satisfy billable hours requirements.

Coordinate various planning phases of engagements and ensure work is on schedule.
Generate budgets.
Maintain profitable realization rates.
Review and evaluate work papers, and determine compliance with professional standards and firm policy.
Review reports and financial statements.
Manage risk and ensure quality control procedures are being executed.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients' management.
Effectively manage employee and client expectations. Assure client satisfaction.
Appraise associate performance and provide on-going feedback to junior level associates.
Assume the role of Marcum ambassador in networking and business-development activities. Identify new business opportunities for the Firm.
Actively engage in the Firm's recruiting efforts.
Qualifications
BBA/BS/MS in Accounting.
Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) / Tax law knowledge.
Thorough understanding of complex technical accounting issues.
Ability to problem-solve and think both creatively and logically.
A demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines.
Outstanding leadership, mentoring and interpersonal skills fostering client and staff relationships.
Decisive ability to identify and execute solutions to problems.
Excellent analytical, organization, and written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to attract and develop profitable, sustainable client relationships.
