    AML Compliance Senior Associate

    About the Job:

    Join our team as an AML Compliance Senior Associate at your service!

    General Overview:

    The BSA Compliance Associate will be in charge of supporting the bank's BSA / AML Program. Their main role is to help with day-to-day tasks to ensure that the firm complies with all BSA/AML and OFAC regulations in each business area and perform internal quality assurance.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Complete various functional tasks related to the transaction monitoring and surveillance program.
    • Review alerts from the transaction monitoring system and conduct case investigations, EDD, FinCEN 314(a), and Trade Finance reviews.
    • Analyze error rates across different processes to provide trending reports and feedback to management.
    • Develop and update AML team procedures when necessary.
    • Prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), document decisions not to file SARs, and QC SAR reports.
    • Take part in compliance regulatory examinations, inquiries, and audits.
    • Develop training materials for team training sessions.
    • Work with the business on information requests, customer risk reviews, and additional control requirements.
    • Contribute to transaction monitoring tuning and the creation of new risk-based scenarios.
    • Participate in special projects and assignments as required.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree required. Graduate Degree in Law, Business, or related fields is a plus.
    • Minimum of five years of experience in BSA/AML.
    • Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
    • Thorough technical knowledge of BSA/AML, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC compliance, KYC, and transaction monitoring.
    • Experience with company searches, LexisNexis, and World-Check.
    • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation preferred.
    • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
    • Familiarity with LATAM/Spain regions is a plus.
    • Ability to work independently on sensitive matters.
