    The Role:


    The Staff Accountant will support the accounting and finance activities of Datacor to ensure accurate, timely and meaningful accounting processes.

    The Staff Accountant's key responsibilities include supporting the month-end accounting close, financial reporting and day-to-day accounting operations.

    The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to complete tasks timely and accurately.


    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and monitor cash accounting and ensure timely cash postings.
    • Prepare bank reconciliations.
    • Prepare, post and reconcile deferred revenue and services revenue reports as assigned.
    • Post miscellaneous deposits.
    • Prepare, maintain, and journalize prepaid expense schedules.
    • Prepare, maintain, and journalize amortization and depreciation schedules.
    • Prepare, maintain, and update general ledger account reconciliations.
    • Prepare and journalize monthly subsidiary general ledger activity.
    • Assist with various month-end accounting close tasks.
    • Prepare miscellaneous tax forms and filings.
    • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and reporting package.
    • Analyze general ledger account detail.
    • Prepare and post monthly credit card allocations.
    • Review the accounting for customer contracts, including revenue and deferred revenue, as assigned.
    • Assist with the preparation of audit and tax requests.
    • Complete ad hoc accounting, reporting and project tasks.

    Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • 2 years of progressive experience in an accounting or financial audit role.
    • Public accounting and financial audit experience strongly preferred.
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or candidacy preferred.
    • Advanced working knowledge of excel.
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting.
    • Unyielding ethical standards and integrity.
    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to function effectively in a high-growth, fast-paced, team environment.
    This is a hybrid role.

    Applicants should be within commuting distance of Florham Park, New Jersey and able to come into the office 50% the time.
