    Position: Sr. Service Representative

    Department: Pension/Lease Security

    Reports To: Supervisor & Manager

    Employment Status: Full-Time, Nonexempt

    Office Location: Corporate Office, Midtown-New York (On-Site)

    Job Summary:

    Responsible for opening new savings accounts, certificate accounts, and answering questions from customers and branch employees concerning services provided by Emigrant Bank.

    Job Specific Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Opens pension and lease security accounts and explains options
    • Gathers needed information from customer
    • Transfers funds from existing account and/or obtains funds from other sources
    • Answers telephone and written questions
    • Solves problems for customers and branch staff by collecting data, securing answers and reporting results to inquiring party
    • Input all CIF and file maintenance necessary to setup the various accounts opened
    • Reads and reviews available literature pertaining to regulations governing accounts
    • Provides expertise knowledge to handle difficult situations that may arise

    Basic Responsibilities:

    • Comply with company policies, practices and procedures
    • Attend assigned meetings
    • Manage customer documents and information in an organized, efficient and secure manner
    • Interact with customers in a professional and pleasant manner
    • Represent company as a professional in appearance and manner
    • Communicate with the highest level of professionalism and integrity
    • Perform quality and quantity of duties as expected for position
    • Complete company required training courses as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
    • One to three years of experience
