- Responsible for leading the specialized billing, accounting, and analytical activities in support of the department's revenue operations.
- Responsible for the revenue streamlining and maximization initiatives and other value-added service.
- Perform reconciliations across multiple system, and analysis of data from various sources.
- Improves processes and Standard Operating Procedures basing on analytics and research.
- Train and work with multiple program staff in managing exceptions, improving billing performance and compliance.
- Work with IT, vendors, and programs in leading system implementations, upgrades, and resolving service tickets.
- Lead the monthly and annual year-end closes, cash management and other assigned tasks.
- Serves as back-up to Fiscal Team's assigned tasks.
- Experience in revenue accounting and medical revenue cycle management.
- Knowledge of GAAP, government accounting principles, Medicaid, Medicare regulations and practice.
- Five-year's or more progressive and hands-on accounting experience.
- Skills with EMR (NextGen preferred), Microsoft Access/Excel and Oracle Financial.

This position is assigned to the Department's Fiscal Team within the Office of the Chief Operating Officer (OCOO).The Office of the Chief Operating Officer provides overall administration of the day-to-day operations of DHHS, including compliance and auditing, budget and fiscal management oversight, contract management, logistics and facilities support, and information technology support and development.The Fiscal Team supports the mission of DHHS by ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timelines of the Department's financial transactions and reports.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
Education :Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Accounting; or a bachelor's degree in Business Administration
or Public Administration or a related field with a major of Accounting coursework.
Experience : Considerable (four (4) years) professional experience in a financial accounting, auditing, or business administration field.
Substitution : Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) may be substituted for a degree in Accounting or a major in Accounting.
