- Perform specimen collection, processing, and analysis following established protocols
- Conduct various laboratory tests and assays to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients
- Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation of patient information
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed
- Adhere to quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide relevant information for patient care
- Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with colleagues and patients
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist in the management of laboratory operations, including inventory management and quality assurance
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- Certification as a Medical Technician (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) preferred
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and clinical laboratory procedures
- Proficiency in specimen collection processing techniques
- Familiarity with medical terminology and data analysis skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols accurately
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Knowledge of laboratory management principles is a plus
